Acquaint the student with a vehicle's main systems and components in terms of their
purpose, safe and legal use, maintenance, and certain economic considerations. Includes
vehicle purchase issues.

Unit 7 Rules of the Road and Safe Driving Practices: Urban and Rural
Purpose: Acquaint the student with the rules of the road and safe driving practices.
Includes issues dealing specifically with city and urban driving, rural driving,

Purpose: Acquaint the student with the causes of accidents and how to prevent them.

Unit 9 Sharing the Road
Purpose: Describe for the student the issues related to sharing the roadway with
other vehicles, pedestrians, and animals. Includes issues dealing with pedestrians,
bicycles, motorcycles, large trucks, emergency vehicles, animals, school buses,
construction equipment, trolleys, and trains.

Unit 10 Alcohol and Drugs
Purpose: Acquaint the student with the effects of alcohol and drugs on driving performance,
how the law treats driving under the influence, and how to avoid accidents involving
alcohol and drugs.

The Final Exam
Take The Final Exam ONLY When you are done with all 10 courses. We will then mail
your California DMV Certificate to you. If you don't pass the first time, don't
worry. Simply wait/study for 24 hours, then you will have a chance to take it again,
once 24 hours have passed. *IMPORTANT PLEASE READ: Taking the final without first
passing all 10 courses and tests will result in deletion of your account + delay
the processing of you certificate.
